| Description | This review focuses on the importance of research, in particular the social and human sciences, in understanding the potential of cultural heritage as a means of social cohesion, economic growth and sustainable development. This Policy Review makes stock of current EU-funded research on cultural heritage, showcases contributions in support of policy by FP7 and H2020 projects, discusses the results in the context of other global and European initiatives (such as the European Heritage Label). Based on this, proposes to attain an appropriate European research framework after 2020. |
